Food Shelf and Emergency Assistance

  • Monthly Food Package (Foodshelf) - $300 per family per year. $30 per month 

  • Bus Pass to help those in need - $100 

  • Grocery Card - $200 per family 

  • Emergency Rent Assistance - $800 per month per family 

  • Utilities Assistance - $50 to 75 per month per family

  • Homeless Temporary Accommodation - $125 per night (includes room, transportation, food)

Outreach and Education

  • Community Presentations - $200 per presentation 

  • Annual State Fair Booth - $3000 

  • County Fair Booth - $500 

  • Street Dawah Table for a day - $150 

  • Dawah Training - $10,000 a year(we train about 20 to 25 da'es a year through a 9-month program)

  • Shahada Packet $50 per packet 

  • Box of Qurans - $100 per box 

  • Brochures - $25 per box 

  • New Muslim Support (Mentorship Events, Islam 102 Class, New Muslim Closet, Revert Support group and Supplies) - $10,000 a year 

Youth and Family Services

  • Sponsor a halaqa night - $50

  •  Send a brother to our Al-Ansar Soccer Camp - $200 

  • Send a sister to Annual Al-Israa Summer camp - $200 

  • Family Events (Social events, Family and Parenting Workshops) - $1,000 

Emergency Relief

Each year, we help around 200 families through our Emergency Assistance project by paying for rent, utilities, and transportation when they experience financial hardship due to the loss of income or other emergency.

Your Zakat Al-Maal will be used in this way to aid your brothers and sisters in need throughout the year.

Most people know a bit about Islam, and may have met Muslims at school or work, but that's usually where it ends. Do they know about our love for 'Isa (alayhi salaam)? Are they aware of the tie between our Hajj and the story of Ibrahim's (alayhi salaam) sacrifice? What do they think we REALLY believe?

Building Blocks of Islam aims to bring Muslims from all backgrounds to work together for the community’s well-being through means that are supported by authentic Islamic teachings – to enjoin good, help those in need, and above all, follow the commandments of Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala)

From educational programs and family development workshops to leadership training, sports activities, mentorship, and study circles, we provide comprehensive support to both youth and families.
